Fun Facts

(1) Brian and I got married in Nov 2017 and have a total of 6 children between us. (2) I was on the Dr. Oz show in Feb 2017 highlighting my 200-pound weight loss. (3) I’ve been a licensed manicurist in the state of MA since 1999!

About Coach

Owning Swarm with Brian, we both are fulfilling our life passion by having the opportunity to help as many people as possible achieve their health and fitness goals.  My passion stems from my own transformation story.

I grew up a heavy child and continued to gain weight through my teens. At 21 I was at a routine Dr’s appt and couldn't believe the scale read 352 pounds. I was told I would be wheelchair bound with knees giving out on me if I didn’t do something soon. I was guided toward weight loss surgery. It was that moment that sparked a fire that would change my life. I didn’t want surgery. I wanted to prove to myself that I could make the life long commitment to a healthier and happier me. It was a LONG road. Many ups, downs, and life events took place over the next 20 years - but I never gave up. I put in the work, and consistently showed up day after day. Leveraging portion control and making healthy nutritious food choices while maintaining my physical fitness, I finally hit my personal goal of losing 200 pounds on my 35th birthday in Nov 2014!!

When I began my journey I could only walk for a few minutes at a time. It took a long time, but slowly worked up to small walk/runs and then Planet Fitness. I became a licensed Zumba instructor in 2014 and taught classes 6 days week. I loved the people and the energy! Motivating and holding each other accountable – the amazing friendships.

I tried CrossFit for the first time at SWARM in October 2016 and instantly fell in love (with CrossFit, and with Brian too!) In 2017 I started to shadow the classes he coached while also focusing on improving myself as an athlete. I began assistant coaching and in Jan 2018, I became Level 1 Certified and then earned my Level 2 certification in Sept 2021. I LOVE learning and improving myself to bring the very best experience to my members’ day.

We launched our Nutrition program in 2020 and it's been an incredible addition to our gym. The program we offer is about creating fundamental lifelong healthy habits. Habits that have helped me maintain a 200-pound weight loss over the last 10 years! I bring my life experiences to the table. I relate to the struggles as I have been there. I continue to walk the walk everyday and feel lucky to provide support and accountability to others along their journey to their healthiest self.
