We are a CrossFit community that was established in 2009, and are one of the most experienced CrossFit gyms in the area. All of our coaches are educated to provide the highest quality training, nutrition, and fitness programs.  Our CrossFit program is comprised of functional movements, constantly varied at high intensity. This includes Olympic Weightlifting, Power Lifting, Kettlebells, Dynamic Plyometrics, Gymnastics, and much more.  In addition to our CrossFit program, we designed our BEx Training (boot camp style in nature) and is perfect for beginners or those without prior lifting or CrossFit experience.  We have a “Foundations” program for those that aspire to do CrossFit in our gym. We also offer 1-on-1 nutrition coaching and as of Nov 2021, we also offer CrossFit KIDS training to ages 5-12.

We are dedicated to helping you and your family achieve optimal health, well-being and fitness. We will encourage you to work hard, provide you the support and accountability needed to achieve results.  All workouts are scalable to your ability and fitness needs. We can work with injuries and modify and/or scale as needed. That’s what we are here for!

Swarm is a group fitness training facility. You will have certified trainers coaching every time you step into our doors.  All of our adult classes are coach led and provide one on one training opportunities throughout every session.  Our classes on one hour in length, include a warm up, strength/skill segment and main class workout.  And let’s face it, our group classes are a lot more FUN!

We offer CrossFit KIDS for children ages 5-12.  These are held in 6 week sessions and meet twice a week for 45 mins.

In addition to professional adult & child fitness training, we also offer one-on-one Nutrition coaching (both in person and virtually).

I was very athletic in high school playing Baseball, Soccer and Tennis. I went to college, left all sports and gained some weight over the years. I decided to take charge and change my life so I started Bodybuilding. I did a traditional bodybuilding routine and nutrition program for years. I then started getting into Triathlons for more diversity. I found CrossFit by accident in 2008. I was researching off-season training for triathlons. I was also post injury from a bicycle accident which resulted in surgery to my optical socket. I tried CrossFitting by following the main site and realized quickly that I didn’t have the equipment. I went to the only affiliate in Western Mass, PVCF. They were in Easthampton at the time. After about a year, I heard that they were moving to Northampton. Deciding that was too far to drive everyday, I took a deep breath, and decided that I should affiliate. I became CrossFit Level 1 certified in October 2009 and moved to my first location (the floor space was 500 sq. ft. with only 12 clients!) When we opened we were the 2nd CrossFit affiliate in Western Mass. We kept growing and in March 2011, moved into a 4000 sq. ft floor space on Mainline Drive in Westfield and then to our current location, 4 Coleman Ave, Westfield, which has 5000 sq, ft of floor space.  I never did a triathlon since, because CrossFit became my sport. I ran the SunTrust National Half Marathon in D.C . in April 2009 and I trained CrossFit only for it. I did only one training run which was 8 miles long. Most of my runs in CrossFit were less than a mile. The reason that I started Swarm was to help as many people as I could get fitter, healthier, and happier.

As owner of Swarm with Brian, it is our passion to help our members achieve their goals and learn all they are capable of.  It is so rewarding to be part of their health and wellness journey. My passion to help others achieve their potential stems from my own transformation story. 

I grew up a heavy child and only continued to gain weight through my teens. At 21 I was at a routine Dr’s appt and couldn’t believe the scale read 352.5 pounds.  I was told I would end up in a wheelchair if I didn’t do something about my weight and that my knees would soon be giving out on me. I was guided towards weight loss surgery.  I was mortified, embarrassed for what I had allowed myself to get to. I knew I didn’t want to have surgery and that I could do it on my own. I used those feeling to ignite a desire in me to make a change and begin my weight loss journey. It was a LONG road with many ups and downs and life events that took place, but I never game up.  Having more good days than bad days, leveraging portion control and making healthy nutritious food choices and maintaining my physical fitness, I finally hit my personal goal of losing 200 pounds on my 35th birthday in Nov 2014!! Consistency is KEY!


When I began my journey I could only walk for a few minutes at a time.  I slowly worked my way up to a Planet Fitness membership and began a running habit and strength training routine.  In July 2014 I became a licensed Zumba instructor and began teaching my own classes 6 days week. I loved the people!  Motivating and holding each other accountable – the amazing friendships.  After several years of Zumba, I was ready for a new challenge.  I tried CrossFit for the first time at SWARM in October 2016 and instantly fell in love (with CrossFit, and with Brian too! haha).  I started shadowing Brian in early 2017 and became Level 1 Certified in Jan 2018 and in Sept 2021 became Level 2 certified.  I love learning and am relentless in pursuing all that we can at Swarm to provide our members with the best experience possible.  I love being able to share my story with our members as well as the things I’ve learned to help me stay consistent along my journey.  I relate to them so much and continue to walk the walk.

We truly offer life changing fitness and nutrition for the whole family!  I’m so proud of the incredible community we have.  #swarmstrong #swarmfamily
